Origin, Not Ceiling
The DARVO Resistance is an institution, not a personality.
It's a container built to hold more than one voice: practitioners, researchers, and people doing this work alongside its founder and after her. The goal is for the framework to outlast any single person who teaches it.
Why An Operations Lens
Systems, Not Symptoms
Most work in this space approaches coercive dynamics through psychology and trauma. The DARVO Resistance approaches it differently: through systems, patterns, decision points, and feedback loops — the same lens used to diagnose failure in an organization, applied instead to interpersonal and institutional coercion.
That's not an accident. It comes from more than two decades of operations and human services leadership, spent building systems for organizations in chaos — and from recognizing that the same discipline applies to recognizing and resisting a Provocateur's tactics.
The Founder
Theresa Earle
Theresa Earle founded The DARVO Resistance after two decades of operations and human services work, and after her own experience learning to recognize these patterns in real time — as a Resistor, not a bystander. She built this institution because the pattern deserved a name, a framework, and tools that don't depend on one person to keep teaching them.
What This Is Not
No Diagnosis. No Verdict.
Not therapy. Not a diagnosis of any individual. Not a place where agency is granted — it's a place where the tools to reclaim it are handed over, and the decisions stay with the reader.
Small Resistances. Practiced Together.
